This window grate is from the late 1800's. Window grates were essentially used on the outside of windows for protection. They were designed in a wide range of styles and sizes. Our inventory consists of hundreds of them, in many styles and designs. This panel was actually half of an adjoining panel and latched at the center. An existing latch does remain on the left side. It's current condition is chipping rust and paint.
Measurements: 43 1/2" long 16" tall and 1" thick framing.
